The partnership with ABC News wasn’t the only thing coming from mobile music service Slacker at CES 2010 – they’ve also announced a new app for the Palm Pre and Pixi, as well as wireless caching across their iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry clients onto microSD or device memory. Sideloading the high-quality versions of favourite stations via USB was a bit of a chore for folks who were looking for a wireless streaming music service, so this is a much-needed upgrade, and is especially admirable for coming out on all of their mobile apps at once. Most of us spend a reasonable amount of time wallowing in a Wi-Fi zone, so wirelessly caching stations for offline access should be a painless process. Hit up Slacker for more info.
