Looks like the rumors were right, as the HD2 should hit the streets in about a week.
The folks at TMoNews got their hands on this screen shot from a T-Mobile retail partner and the Windows Mobile handset should retail for less than $200 on a new two-year contract with a data plan. As we’ve covered before, the handset is packed to the gills with features and it is Windows Mobile at its finest. Unfortunately, it won’t be upgradable to Windows Phone 7 Series, so buyer beware. There’s an HD2 event tonight and our East Coast bureau will be there to give you some hands-on impressions.
Update: Woo hoo, it’s official folks. T-Mobile USA’s Twitter said, “HTC HD2 available March 24! $199.99 w/2yr agreement & qualifying plan (+tax/fees).” We’ll have one in hands soon enough, so watch out for an in-depth review.
