After two weeks, Verizon is returning to “pure” Android app recommendations. I don’t see some specific theme for this week’s app selection, as there are apps from multiple categories. Without further ado, here’s what the Big Red is suggesting you to try out for the weekend:

  • Golf Solitaire – classic card game is available for $2.99.
  • OpenTable – the application that allows you to search for restaurants and see what real customers think about the dishes served. It covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Mexico.
  • AP Mobile – which is all about news from more than 1,200 trusted local sources. It addition, it also covers national and international issues.
  • Qik Video Camera – which allows you to take video in real-time and share it with the world via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Diner Dash 2 – legendary action puzzle game could be yours for $4.99.

All of the titles mentioned above are readily available in the Android Market and all work with the Motorola DROID, which is offered by Verizon Wireless for 200 bucks on a contract.
