Randall-Reilly launches Truck Stop Coupons iPhone app

Randall-Reilly, the business media and information company focused on trucking and construction, is joining what seems as unstoppable mobile coupons wave. The company is launching Truck Stop Coupons, an iPhone app for truckers and other motorists that allows them to “clip, print and share coupons from more than 5,000 truck stops across America.”

Hold on for a second. Clip? Print? Those are not the real mobile coupons, right? To be fair, I’m not completely sure, but that’s what the official press release says.

Anyway, the free application is developed in conjunction with Salebug.com and Promiles, showing users coupons within a 50-mile radius of the phone. Of course, you can also get detailed route and turn-by-turn driving directions to any of the 5,000 truck stops in the database.

Pardon my ignorance, but I simply don’t see truckers owning iPhones and even more using them for couponing. Am I completely wrong, living in the past or what?

And before I let you go, you should know that Truck Stop Coupons will be released for Android and BlackBerry smartphones in the near future.
