BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell to be Vodafone, Verizon Exclusive?

While the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 seems to be going to everybody and their second uncle twice-removed, the BlackBerry 9670 clamshell may be staying exclusive to Vodafone and Verizon.

The interesting part here is that Verizon was apparently the one to ask for the bizarre form factor, and as much as we might be confused by (or at worst begrudge) Verizon for that, they also pushed RIM to include a 5 megapixel camera and pump out OS 6.0. The general concensus on BlackBerry’s new operating system is warm at the upper-end, but launching in a form factor that completely flops could douse what little hype BlackBerry 6 commands.

As always, this is just talk – no pictures or documents to back it up, so take it all with a grain of salt.
