INRIX Traffic! updated with new community traffic reports and route creation tools

INRIX updated its INRIX Traffic! app, which as you may know provides real-time traffic, traffic forecast, accident and incident information for all major cities and roads across the U.S. and Canada. I’m not sure that both the iPhone and Android versions are updated, but if Android version is not included in this release, it will get an update in no time.

The main new feature is the inclusion of “Community Traffic Reports” that informs users about speed traps, accidents, construction and other traffic impacting events reported in real-time by the user community along their route. Additionally, INRIX has integrated the locations of thousands of speed and red light cameras nationwide.

As for the Pro version that is available via in-app purchase for $9.99 for one year and $24.99 lifetime, it’s also been affected with auto-suggest feature that provides alternative routes and there are also better tools for creating personalized routes to saved destinations.

AppStore link remains the same (it’s below if you don’t have INRIX Traffic! installed) and if you own an Android-powered device, you’ll have to look the app for yourself in the Android Market.
