Thrillist is out with its “local lifestyle” iPhone app, which at start is sponsored by Bacardi’s new Torched Cherry flavored rum.
If you’ve visited the Thrillist website, you can guess for yourself what their app is all about. If you haven’t, here’s a snippet from the press release, explaining the app instead of me:
A supplement to Thrillist’s free daily email and website, Thrillist for iPhone narrows down the dizzying scope of your city with Thrillist’s handpicked eating, drinking and shopping recommendations. Users can search, sort and share articles from Thrillist’s extensive vault of local content, all organized by the nearest, newest and most popular places.
In addition, the application also rocks Thrillist Video clips, ability to save and sync articles to “My Thrillist,” share tools for Facebook, Twitter and email, Foursquare check-in, and several mini-games, all in the “style and irreverent tone trusted by Thrillist’s 2 million plus readers.”
In terms of geography, Thrillist comes with coverage of Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. — with additional markets launching in the fall.
