Dots Gloves keep hands warm, work with iPhone

Dots Gloves

The iPhone and iPhone 3G’s multi-touch display is handy-dandy for normal use – which is to say, when used with your bare fingertips. The flush-mounted touchscreen doesn’t require any pressure to register touch-inputs and mult-touch manipulations are just as fun as they are functional. But, as soon as the temperature drops to hand-numbing levels, forcing you to don gloves to keep your digits from falling off, the iPhone’s capacitive touchscreen can be difficult to use. That is, unless you’re using these gloves from Dots Gloves.

These gloves, which run $13 (knit) or $18 (wool) a piece, have little, rounded metal dots on the tip of the thumb, forefinger, and middle finger that allow you to register touch inputs on your iPhone’s multi-touch display. The dots are said to be scratch-safe, so don’t worry about marring your iPhone’s touchscreen display.

We’ll definitely be picking up a pair of these iPhone-friendly gloves before our next winter-trip outside of California (we don’t really get the whole “season” thing here).
