Samsung has no plans to launch Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 in the U.S.

Sad news folks. At the moment Samsung has no plans to launch two of its newly unveiled devices, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7, in the U.S. The information comes from GottaBeMobile.com, which managed to get it straight from the horse’s mouth – Samsung’s spokesperson.

Before you go “that’s outrageous,” let me add that no one knows when the two products will be available in other parts of the world. I would bet Sammy wants to ship them just in time for the Christmas shopping season and that it’s also pitching the U.S. carriers as we speak. However, they [U.S. carriers] may want to focus on the Galaxy S II launch first and then to introduce new devices at some point next year.

Personally I think the Galaxy Note is too big to carry around in a pocket, but I love the Galaxy Tab 7.7. It’s not just a compact device (for a tablet), but also the first such product with a Super AMOLED screen, making its colors uber vivid. Can’t wait to grab one. 🙂
