MySpace for BlackBerry Hits 1 Million Downloads in 1 Month

I received a little note this morning that MySpace for BlackBerry has been downloaded more than 1 million times. This is an insanely impressive number, considering the app was launched but only a month ago. In a quick note from the RIM PR folks:

RIM just found out that the MySpace application for BlackBerry Smartphones has been downloaded more than one million times. The one millionth unique download happened sometime on Saturday December 13th, which makes it a month exactly since the application launched.

Have I told you lately how much I detest MySpace? Ughhh… Just had to point that out. The kids… it’s the kids, they’re on the MySpace and the Interwebs!

At any rate, congrats to MySpace and BlackBerry for an apparently very successful first month for the new MySpace app. I’m sure MySpace/BlackBerry addicts are more than tickled that they can access MySpace with ease from wherever they might be.

To download the MySpace app via Desktop download, hit up www.blackberry.com/myspace. To download OTA direct from your device, punch in m.myspace.com from your Berry’s web browser.
