Judge grants Apple another crack at Motorola in patent infringement suit

Motorola calls Apple patents invalid

Remember the judge that made news last week for dismissing Apple’s patent case against Motorola? Well, Judge Richard Posner had some time to think about things, and has allowed Apple to continue its crusade of enforcing its patent infringement allegations toward Motorola. The Cupertino based manufacturer is getting another chance to prove it deserves an injunction.

Posner says that both Apple and Motorola may argue that they are deserving of injunctive relief, and have until Monday, June 18th to submit briefs. It wouldn’t be at all surprising if Posner gives Apple or Motorola nothing. Regardless, I’m sure whatever the final decision turns out to be, we can expect an appeal from either side – so the wheel will continue to go round and round.
