We have some potentially great news for you HTC One X owners out there patiently waiting for your sample of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Rumors are swirling on the interwebs about Jelly Bean updates rolling out to handsets sometime in October. MoDaCo, a notorious Android developer, has gotten the drop on when the firmware update for the One X will be rolling out, which all indications point to next month.

That being said, before you get that fuzzy feeling inside, keep in mind this update is from the manufacturer’s side of things and it’ll still be parsed through by whatever carrier you’re using before it can be sent out to your device. As some of you already know, this process can take forever because in the world of Android, the carrier has the final say as to when or if a device receives its update.
