If you’re looking for an affordable yet pretty powerful 7-inch tablet, you know you should get the Nexus 7. Alternatively, there are other options like Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook Tablet, iPad mini (though it’s not as affordable as other devices), as well as the Acer Iconia Tab A110. The last mentioned is now selling for just $178. That deal, however, is at the moment limited to Walmart Canada, though we guess other retailers will similarly price it as well.

The problem with Acer’s baby — aside from the fact that it’s not a Nexus device — is that its screen can only show resolution of 1024×600 pixels which looks rather awful compared to Nexus 7’s 1280×800 pixels. On the other hand, it does rock a microSD memory card slot and HDMI out, so you can beam the contents of your screen to a TV. In addition, the Iconia Tab A110 also packs a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, NVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 8GB of built-in storage…
