The first Windows Phone 8 device for Sprint hits the FCC? Or that’s the HTC One SV

The first Windows Phone 8 device for Sprint hits the FCC?

We’ve heard that Sprint plans to join Microsoft’s mobile initiative and offer Windows Phone 8 devices, namely those made by Samsung and HTC. Looks like first such smartphone (HTC PL80110) has hit the FCC, boasting LTE connectivity support, NFC, EV-FO and 1xRTT. That’s pretty much all we could get from the phone’s “not that revealing” FCC listing.

But wait, there’s more – and this is where it becomes a bit confusing. You see, this device is marked as PL80110 and as far as we know, it could be the HTC One SV. The problem with that claim is that One SV is an Android smartphone, while the docs clearly state Windows Phone is running the show. So we’re not sure what to think. Actually, we like to believe this isn’t One SV since it’s an everything-but-exciting device and we would rather see Now Network joining Microsoft’s party than add yet another insignificant Android smartphone to its portfolio. In case you fancy so, you can access FCC’s listing for yourself from here.
