Microsoft is looking to unify its various Windows products. The Redmond giant has posted a job ad looking for a person that would help them solve the “Windows puzzle” and allow Windows Phone apps to run on Windows RT devices, and vice versa.
The ad explains the Windows Phone team was “…leading the charge to bring much of the WinRT API surface and the .NET Windows Store profile to the Phone.”
Moreover, it says that Windows Phone apps should also run on Windows 8 computers, which is something that should be possible — since you can already run Android apps with software like BlueStacks.
The position was already been filled and now we expect to hear how this is going… Though we’ll likely have to wait for few more months to get some tangible results. We’ll let you know when something of this sort comes up…
