Full Bluetooth stack coming to a jailbroken iPhone near you!

While we keep waiting for Apple to update Bluetooth stack on the iPhone and let us use stereo Bluetooth headsets, wireless keyboards and other goodies, hackers aren’t sleeping. Today, we spotted a new application in Cydia, designed to bring one of the most desired features to the iPhone – proper Bluetooth support.

The so called iBluetooth is already available for download, even though it’s still far from offering the full Bluetooth support. At present stage, it supports file transfer of images and audio, while stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) support is on track for future versions. That said, the developers of iBluetooth ask 4 EUR (3.99 to be more precise) for the application, the money which will they use to purchase a full Bluetooth stack and implement it as a daemon (background service) into the iPhone. If you ever wanted to support some important tech cause, now’s your chance to do so. Look for iBluetooth in Cydia and take it from there. 😉
