Hummer gets into Mobile Phones – Hummer HT1

Hummer, the company made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s giant military-convert SUV (and myriad wannabe, gas-guzzling, urban-tanks), is getting into the mobile phone game with a new slider phone – the Hummer HT1. First Porsche, now Hummer? Anyway, the Hummer HT1, much like its toy-ish, plastic-clad namesake forebears (H2 and H3, we’re talking about you), comes in a variety of colors – ranging from yellow to camouflage.

The Hummer HT1 was developed by the French manufacturer, Modelabs, but sports only Hummer branding. For about 300 Euros, you get a 2.2″ screen, GSM/GPRS, 2MP cam, microSD slot, and 256MB of memory. So, it looks like the phone will follow in the H2/H3’s footsteps – offering a lot some of show without much go substance.

Hummer HT1 slider phone - made by France-based Modelabs will likely disappoint or at least deceive as well as the H2 and H3
