Cricket Launches Phone Recycling Program, Supports Affordable Housing

I guess since it’s Earth Day, we should find some green news, eh? Cricket Wireless has taken the occasion to announce their phone recycling program, whose proceeds will go towards the Rebuilding Together housing charity. All you have to is bring your phone into a Cricket store, or if you can’t manage, you can print off a shipping label and let the postal service do the dirty work.  Supporting affordable housing is a noble goal in these times, and if you take a look at Virgin Mobile’s Pink Slip program, it’s clear that even the little guys in the wireless industry are doing their part to help folks out. If you’re on another carrier and trying to figure out what to do with an old phone, check out one of our Earth Hour posts – it has a bunch of options for anyone with a North American carrier. For Cricket in particular, hit up their green site.
