One more little tidbit of BlackBerry news before I grab my morning cup of coffee. Word has it that Facebook 1.6 for BlackBerry this coming Thursday, May 28th. The timing for this is just about right, as the last update brought us Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry a little over a month ago.

New features in Facebook 1.6 for BlackBerry include:

  • Feed support – view and comment on friends status updates and highlights
  • Profile and wall viewing – view and comment on friends’ profiles and wall updates
  • Improved photo viewing – view and comment on pictures
  • Additional language support

Nothing too ground-breaking here, but a very solid update with features many Facebook users will appreciate. Lets hope the new build does arrive on Thursday… Over the past few months I’ve had my fill of device and app launch delays to last me another few years 🙂

Stay tuned… Facebook 1.6 for BlackBerry coming next week (fingers crossed).
