4 Nokia phones coming to AT&T: Grouper, Thresher, Snapper, and Mako

Nokia and AT&T are working to introduce four new devices in the States. Here’s the recap from what we know:

  • Grouper – Series 40 clamshell, which is probably that Nokia 6750 “Mural” we recently caught at the FCC. Specs wise there’s HSDPA support, A-GPS and 2 megapixel camera. It should start selling in July.
  • Thresher – another Series 40 feature phone with HSDPA, A-GPS and 3.2 megapixel camera with flash. AT&T should start offering this glossy slider starting from September.
  • Snapper – another clamshell with HSDPA, A-GPS and 2 megapixel camera, which will go on sale in August.
  • Mako – the most interesting of the Nokia devices that will hit the AT&T. It’s a Symbian S60 3.2 (Feature pack 2) smartphone with side-sliding QWERTY keyboard and an array of “standard S60” features such as HSDPA, 2.4-inch QVGA screen, A-GPS, 2 megapixel camera, 2.5mm headphone jack, microSD slot, and so on. Apparently, AT&T will introduce the Mako on June 5th, which seems kinda too soon to be true, though we may be wrong. Keeping your fingers crossed can’t harm. 😉

There you have it. Folks from Espoo are finally getting their thing together for the North American market…
