FCC: Huawei M318 headed to MetroPCS

Huawei M318 gets outed by FCC as coming to MetroPCSWell, MetroPCS sure is busy picking up Chinese-made mobile phones! In another FCC out-ing, we see the Huawei M318 with some MetroPCS branding. This bare-bones (read: cheap) CDMA 1x flip-phone will be boosting MetroPCS’s entry-level segment. And, as such, the M318 lacks a camera and Bluetooth – that’s about as entry-level as you can get!

As is usually the case with Asian handset makers looking to break into the US market, Huawei’s initial offering for the US is backed up with a solid lineup of handset in Asia. We’re looking for Huawei to make some more moves in the future (maybe on MetroPCS?).
