Dial2Do launches an Android app

Dial2Do, the company/service which we already talked about in the past, launched its voice activated mobile app/service for the Android platform. Here’s how it works, and it’s not just how it works with Android smartphones (from the press release):

The application intercepts incoming text messages so the driver does not even have to look at the device. Once the message is read aloud by the system, the driver can reply to that message also by voice. The outgoing message is converted into text by Dial2Do and sent in text form to the recipient. The application can be used with any Android phone and, when synced with a Bluetooth device, drivers can listen to incoming messages through their headset as they would if they were having a phone conversation.

In addition to the free app that does SMS, there’s also a paid app/service simply called Dial2Do Pro. The difference is that the paid version also allows users/drivers to send and listen to emails, send memos and reminders as well as post to popular social networking sites like Twitter. This benefit, in case you sign-up for the service, will cost you $39.99 per year or $3.99 per month.
