Seek out the Internet’s music files with SeeqPod

SeeqPod logoLike they say, you can never be too thin, too rich, or have too many songs stored on your iPhone. Well, maybe we made that last part up – but it’s true, nonetheless. We want unlimited storage with access to virtually every song to ever grace a pop chart. But, alas, we only have 8GB of storage space – and searching out and downloading music on a P2P network buying music on iTunes can be a trying experience. First, there’s the aspect of cost. Then there’s the time it takes to download, then there’s the need to get it onto your iPhone. Wouldn’t it be great if all you had to do to enjoy some quality music was to search the Internet, hit “play,” and sit back and listen? SeeqPod seems to think so. The new SeeqPod Playable Search streaming music service (in beta form) scrubs the internets for music files and lists them in their comprehensive collection – by artist name. Search for the song you want to listen to and, like magic, the track starts streaming (in its original form, no transcoding) on your iPhone – for free! How trick is that? With a few more featuers, like an integrated playlist function, the SeeqPod service could go toe-to-toe with the premium iTunes music service.

Curious? Point your iPhone’s Safari browser to seeqpod.com and the website will automatically detect your iPhone and whisk you away to the magical land of no-fee, no-wait, streaming music!

Did we mention the service is free?
