Motorola Backflip hitting Germany later this month

Motorola is bringing its reverse-flippin’ Android smartphone to Germany. Yap, it’s the Backflip we’re talking about which is set to hit Europe’s largest economy later this month.

No carrier deals have been signed yet, meaning that ze Germans will have to grab the device unlocked, only, from Mobilcom or Amazon. That privilege, however, has its price and it’s a whooping one – 499 EUR, which is about $672.

As you know, the Motorola Backflip is a MOTOBLUR-powered device, meaning it’s easy to keep up with your friends across social networks, Twitter and Facebook included. Specs wise, the phone comes with a 3.1-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and of course a microSD memory card slot.

Don’t know about you, but I always liked the CLIQ (DEXT in Europe) more than any other Moto’s MOTOBLUR device. It has much better keyboard which I’m honestly looking forward to see in some future MOTO devices that would also sport a WVGA display.
