A new version of the popular photo taking/sharing app Instagram is in the AppStore, bringing few additional features to the mix. The first thing you’ll notice in Instagram 2.1 is slightly revamped UI, which comes with improved header and menu buttons that will make it “easier to understand and interact” with the app. Moreover, there are tappable notifications that bring you directly to the relevant photo, comment or user profile page.

And that’s not all. With the new feature, Lux, you get a new way to transform the look and feel of your photos by making them more vibrant and bringing out details you couldn’t see before. Finally, there’s a new filter called Sierra.

Instagram remains the free app and if you still don’t have it running on your iPhone, grab it now. After all, it’s one of the most popular iOS apps ever released…
