Sprint confirms it will sell the Galaxy S 4, launch details coming soon

Samsung announced the Galaxy S 4 today and said the phone would land on more than 100 carriers worldwide. Shortly after the announcement, Sprint chimed in to let the world know that it will be one of those launch carriers. Details in the press release were sparse, but Sprint did confirm that customers will be able to use the phone on the carrier’s unlimited 4G LTE plans. Virgin Mobile has released a new commercial featuring the king of weird, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne. The new ad is, trippy, to say the least; while it’s not as crazy as most of Coyne’s fake blood spewing live performances, it is cool enough to garner Richard Branson some hipster cred. Sprint to carry a full touchscreen BlackBerry 10 device later this year

When BlackBerry introduced its first BlackBerry 10 handsets earlier this year, Sprint was the only major US carrier to pass on the flagship Z10 and opt to carry only the entry-level BlackBerry Q10 phone. According to a report from N4BB, T-Mobile will be releasing the BlackBerry Q10 sometime in May of this year.The rumor comes to us courtesy of a Blackberry rep at a local BlackBerry Experience Forum, where he confirmed the above rumor. Rumor: BlackBerry Z10 Landing at AT&T on March 15th?

New recycling initiative lets Sprint customers use their phone on a compatible MVNO

Sprint is kicking off a new handset recycling program that encourages customers to use their old Sprint phone on a compatible MVNO. The new program, Bring Your Own Sprint Device, is designed to put those old phones to good  use instead of just tossing them into the landfill. Sprint to pass on the first flagship BlackBerry 10 phone

When the first BlackBerry 10 handsets were announced, Sprint was noticeably absent from the list of carriers that would be selling the flagship Z10. Sprint launches LTE in nine new markets

Sprint continues the roll out of its LTE network and has expanded its 4G footprint to include nine new markets. According to a press release, 4G LTE is now available in Altoona, Pa., Asheville, N.C., Columbus, Ind., Elkhart/Goshen, Ind., Hammond, La., La Crosse, Wis., San Juan, Puerto Rico, Statesville, N.C., and Temple, Texas.
