In Announcements, Devices, Sagem
Again, it’s the French Sagem that brings the new level of style in the world of low-end devices. The clamshell my300C is available in a variety of designs and colors, and aims to win the hearts (and wallets) of the younger crowd. At dimensions of 79.2×43.5×21.7 mm and weight of 80g, the my300C is small enough to fit any pocket. The device sports a VGA camera with 4x optical zoom, a color display, and also packs the WAP 2.0 browser. It will be released in July this year, at still undisclosed price. (via: UberPhones)

In Announcements, Partnerships, Sagem, Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) and Sagem just announced a partnership agreement under which Sagem will make entry-level devices for the Swedish-Japanese company. As part of the agreement Sagem will license certain hardware and software technologies to Sony Ericsson. In addition the two companies will conduct joint development activities.

As part of its commitment to the new partnership, Sony Ericsson will establish a development unit dedicated to entry level mobile phones, to be located in the vicinity of Sagem’s premises in Cergy, France. Sony Ericsson’s idea is to strengthen its position in this area of the market, whilst at the same time benefit from the technical know-how and the engineering capacity of Sagem.

In Devices, Sagem
I really try not to write too much about entry level devices, but from time to time something caught my eye and I just have to spill it out.
That’s the case with the recently announced Sagem my215x, an entry level device that doesn’t sports much of the features, but is stylish enough to post about it on IntoMobile. It’s just not that common to see devices priced less than 100 bucks look decent. Sagem may not be known as a high-end smartphone manufacturer, but it seems they know their stuff when it comes to good looks.
Anyhow, the my215x will come with 256 MB for storing music and will have a dedicated music keys. Apparently, Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) will carry this device. (via: UberPhones)
