E! launches E! News Now web series for mobile phonesE! has gone mobile! They’ve launch their “E! News Now” web series for mobile phones! Ok, enough with the exclamatory punctuation! Seriously!

The Entertainment Channel debuted their E! News Now web series on August 27 and is publishing at least 12 original, short-form news clips each day. The one to two minute-long news clips will be hosted by either Valery Ortiz or Ashlan Gorse, and will be released throughout the day.

The premise behind the new web-series is that “Entertainment news happens all day long and E! News Now will allow us to bring those stories to our users as quickly as possible,” according to John Najarian, senior vp, new media and business development, Comcast Entertainment Group.

Sounds like a good idea to us! We love hearing the latest dish on Paris Hilton’s shaved exploits with cohorts like Britney Spears. Now we’ll never be without our juicy celebrity gossip.
