Kylie Minogue beats cancer and launches a mobile social network to promote her new album In our world of ever increasing mobile phone usage and likewise popular social networks, is it really all that surprising that pop-star Kylie Minogue has launched a new mobile social network? Well, not really, but we still give her props for battling cancer, winning, and celebrating by bringing the world another mobile social network.

The Australian singer has canceled her upcoming tour due to doctor’s concerns that the stress of being on the road could take a toll on her health. But, with her new album, entitled “X,” set to debut on November 26, the singer needed another outlet to help boost sales numbers.

Enter KylieKonnect.com. The new mobile social network was designed by New Visions Mobile to be more flexible and mobile than industry incumbents MySpace and Facebook, and aims to help Kylie’s fans “konnect” with their favorite singer.

Way to go Kylie. You beat cancer, pressed a new album, lunched a mobile social network and achieved MILF status in stride.
