AT&T USBConnect Quicksilver is a new HSPA-enabled USB modem launched by AT&T and Option. The device features an award-winning intelligent design which provides a protective cap for the USB connector. It’s also the first USB mobile broadband device to use the Icera Livanto chipset, providing the “latest features in one of the world’s smallest HSPA USB devices” that weighs just 1.2 ounces.

Typically, AT&T LaptopConnect users can expect download speeds between 700 Kbps and 1.7 Mbps, and uplink speeds between 500 Kbps and 1.2 Mbps.

The AT&T Quicksilver is now available today at no cost for customers who choose a two-year DataConnect plan of $60 or more. Customers traveling outside the U.S. can choose one of AT&T’s DataConnect North America or DataConnect Global plans. The former includes up to 100MB of monthly data use in Canada and Mexico plus up to 5 GB of monthly data use in the U.S. for $109.99 per month. The latter plan, on the other hand, offers 100MB of monthly data in 67 countries plus up to 5 GB of data use in the U.S. for $139.99.

Full release is available from here.
