The Palm Treo Pro, being Palm’s flagship handset, is the best Palm Treo to ever come out of Palm’s R&D labs. But, that doesn’ t mean that the recently launched handset is immune to the bugs that tend to plague new devices. Palm has issued a new software update that promises to fix a niggling Bluetooth issue that causes audio to drop out during a phone call.
Apparently, the Palm Treo Pro’s firmware doesn’t handle two simultaneous phone calls all that well. A single phone call, routed through a Bluetooth device, hums along nicely. But, if the user ignores a second incoming call, letting it go directly to voicemail, the Palm Treo Pro’s Bluetooth bug causes audio to drop out. The original phone call is connected just fine, but the user is no longer able to hear the caller.
Palm Treo Pro users would do well to grab this update. The update can be found here. You can also update your Palm Treo Pro with an OTA (over-the-air) update by pointing your Palm Treo Pro’s web browser to palm.com/850u-bluetooth-ota.
