Samsung’s mobile phone lineup has just taken on a new touchscreen slider flagship with the debut of the Samsung UltraTOUCH S8300. The Samsung UltraTOUCH proves once again that Samsung knows what they’re doing when it comes to super-slim sliders – even better, this little gem packs some serious high-end power. Like any good range-topping handset should, the Samsung UltraTOUCH sports a capable feature-set befitting the company’s “most iconic, high-end phone.”
The Samsung UltraTOUCH is being billed as the “full-touch hero” of Samsung’s soon-to-be-announced touchscreen lineup. Measuring a svelte 12.7mm in the waist, the Samsung UltraTOUCH S8300 definitely scores points for style and wins big on the gotta-have factor. And, with a 2.8-inch AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, aGPS, and 3G (HSDPA) data connectivity, the UltraTOUCH S8300 excels where it really counts – on the spec-sheet.
Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI has apparently been upgraded for duty as the UltraTOUCH S8300’s touch-based interface, which should make for some fun times with drag-and-drop widgets. As the new flagship, it makes sense for the Samsung UltraTOUCH S8300 to feature an upgraded UI, and we can’t wait to try it out.

The rest of Samsung’s “full-touch” lineup is slated for debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. Stay tuned for live coverage of the Samsung UltraTOUCH S8300 at MWC 2009!
