Samsung Omnia coming to Bell next month!

omnia1Canadians fiending to get in on Samsung’s touchscreen lineup will be happy to hear that Bell is gearing up to launch the Samsung Omnia in April. Following a successful run in the US as Verizon Wireless’s Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional-powered smartphone, it seems Samsung is bringing the Omnia to Canada. Word on the street has the Samsung Omnia bringing its 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display, GPS, WiFi and 5-megapixel camera to the Great White North between April 9th and April 12th.

We’re not expecting to see much difference between the Bell Samsung Omnia and the Verizon Samsung Omnia – which means the Bell Omnia will include all the TouchWiz UI, 3G data and Divx/Xvid video playback that you can handle.

Pricing isn’t yet known, but we would be surprised if the Bell Samsung Omnia launched for more than a couple benjis.
