Verizon Casio Exilim Withstands Water, Sexting

Call a promo video featuring sexting a cheap ploy appealing to the lowest common denominator if you must, but the Casio Exilim, a flip with a 5.1 megapixel camera bound for Verizon spied late in December, is at least getting a little more public. Water resistant phones is an awesome idea that I’ve been hankering for since talking with the guys from Golden Shellback, and it’s great seeing the technology make it to market. Although this video showcases the 5.1 megapixel camera version that has been out for a good two years now, an 8 megapixel version is already out in Japan. What gives, Verizon? Want to keep the price point low, or is that waterproofing just costing too much as is?

[RT @SashchaSegan]

Update: Aw, the video got taken down. I guess a woman taking nude pictures of herself in the shower was a little too risqué for for Verizon.
