Verizon Wireless has a new desktop software called V CAST Media Manager, which is designed to help their customers manage/transfer photos, videos, and music between phones and PCs. In other words, you could think of it as a carrier-branded iTunes, which in case you care to know, is a customized version of QuickLink Media Software from Smith Micro Software.
Apparently not all phones are support — Verizon’s press release talks about “certain phones” — but it adds that popular models such as the LG enV TOUCH, Samsung Alias and Alias 2 are on the list. Android phones are not compatible at the moment, but that will change in the near future.
And that’s sums it up. Additional details and download instructions are available from this page on Verizon’s website…
