Pastefire, the iPhone application that acts as an “action oriented desktop-to-iPhone pasteboard utility” has been updated recently and now runs in version 1.1.1.
The main new thing in this release is support for push notifications, which were brought on to the platform with iPhone OS 3.0 (hence one wonders why Pastefire hasn’t supported the feature before). What this means is that the iPhone/iPod Touch will now alert you on actions coming from your computer, even when Pastefire isn’t running. That’s a neat feature and I’m sure all Pastefire users will appreciate it a lot.
Earlier 1.1 update included some additional shortcuts as well as support for some additional services.
