Those of your familiar with Qik (the UGC mobile video streaming company), and living in the UK, will be pleased to know that they have signed a deal with Vodafone UK to offer their services on the network.
VFUK customers can just text ‘Qik’ to 97886 to get a link to download the right app for their handset. Once they have the app, they’ll be able to record and then share videos up to YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter – and also popular blog platforms too. Oh, and the usual sharing over email also!
It’s going to be very interesting to see what kind of uptake there is for the service – I guess we’ll find out via a piece of very nicely written PR if it’s a success 🙂
