If Samsung can claim their Jet is “smarter than a smartphone,” so can LG for its LG Maxx LG9400 device, which we knew was coming to LG’s domestic market. It doesn’t run any smartphone OS (as far as we know), but some LG’s proprietary platform. Still, thanks to its specs, the so called Arena Max should appeal to those folks who like the smell of power in their hands.
The Maxx LG9400 relies on Qualcomm’s super-fast Snapdragon QSD8650 chip, which unlike the QSD8250 (other Snapdragon chip used in the likes of Nexus One, HTC HD2, Xperia X10 and LG’s own GW820 eXpo), can work both on GSM and CDMA-based networks, providing HSPA or EV-DO Rev. B speeds when needed.
Rest of the features include a 5-megapixel camera that can take 720p video at 30 fps, DivX support, 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, GPS, WiFi, T-DMB mobile TV; while LG’s S-Class 3D UI is used for all the interaction with the device.
South Korea’s LG Telecom is offering the LG Maxx LG9400, and we’ve no idea when it will hit other carriers and markets…
