qTweeter for iPhone 3.02 adds geotagging, background uploading, multi-account support and more

qTweeter, that cool little app for jailbroken iPhones, has been updated recently. Version 3.02 packs several neat improvements, including support for multiple accounts, background uploading of images and videos, geotagging with map URL, #nowplaying integration, custom backgrounds and a slightly improved interface (though I must add that even the earlier UI was pretty straightforward).

If you don’t know/haven’t heard of it, qTweeter allows users to quickly update their Twitter and Facebook status from within any application. To do so, simply swipe your finger down from the status bar to get a hovering text bubble from where you can write whatever you want. It’s really that easy and arguably worth jailbreaking your iDevice.

The applications costs $4.99 and it is available from the Cydia store — 15-tweet trial is also available. I highly recommend it to both savvy social networkers and occasional Twitterers with an iPhone or iPod Touch.

If you like how qTweeter works, but don’t want to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch, you may want to check out qStatus, a similar application that you can grab from the AppStore (and which we also covered before).
