BlackBerry Desktop Manager (BDM) 6.0 Screenshot Pops Up Online

BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0

You may recall that RIM updated the BlackBerry Desktop Manager (BDM) earlier today. The update brought us up to version 5.0.1.37, and was really nothing too major… But if you want to stay on-top with the latest and greatest, you can download it here.

Shortly thereafter, the good folks at BBNews.pl leaked what appears to be a screenshot of BBM 6.0. Drink it in, above. Note the media focus down the left-hand side. Also note, the podcasts item. Interesting, no? Perhaps a revamped OS + this latest version of BDM will handle podcasts in an elegant way? Who knows… early days.

I’m not going to even try and speculate when we’ll see this hit the interwebs as an official release… But if the screenshot is indeed legit, we can assume the wheels are in motion. In fact, some would say the research is in motion *groan*.

Hopefully this is a quick look into the future of BDM. At first blush, I kinda like it. Stay tuned, I’m sure more screenshots will follow in the days and weeks ahead.
