Mobile Marketing Association establishes Canadian Council

It’s CTIA Wireless time and the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) is using the event to formally launch the MMA Canada Council, as part of its efforts to establish regional presence with local focus across the globe. The new council is led by Michael O’Farrell, Country Manager for the MMA; along with co-chairs Ross Buchanan, Director, Digital & Relationship Marketing at MolsonCoors; and Andrew Osmak, SVP, Business Development & New Ventures at LavaLife.

MMA Canada is established with more than 25 founding member companies, including: ADO Strategies, Alcatel-Lucent, AllScenes, Atimi Software, Carlson Marketing, comScore, Fjord Interactive (Cossette), VoCoMo (First Media Group), iLoop Mobile, Impact Mobile, LavaLife, Maritz Canada, Microsoft, Mobi Marketer, MolsonCoors, MyThum Interactive, Olive Media, Ontario College of Art & Design, The Weather Network (Pelmorex), Proximity (BBDO), Remedy Communications, Sybase 365, TAGGA Media, Transcontinental Media, Wavefront AC, Western Union, Wmode, Yellow Pages Group and Yahoo! Canada.

Country-specific councils have already been established in Austria, Germany, India, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
