Slacker is out with a Windows Mobile client, which is debuting pre-installed on the HTC HD2 from T-Mobile USA. In addition to the HD2, the application is designed for work with any WVGA touchscreen-equipped WinMo smartphone, and I presume version of the application that works with smaller screen devices is in works as we speak.
As you probably already know, Slacker Radio is an Internet radio service/application for discovering new music, while also providing users with artist biographies, album reviews and access to song lyrics. In addition, users can mark songs as favorites, as well as ban songs and artists to create their own custom radio stations.
On the other hand, you can pick any of more than 120 expert-programmed Slacker genre stations, and spotlight stations including Artist Showcase stations and new stations by The Source Magazine and FILTER Magazine.
Slacker Radio is a free application and you can grab it by visiting www.slacker.com from your WVGA touchscreen-equipped Windows Mobile device. That’s of course, if you don’t grab the HTC HD2 from T-Mobile, in which case you’ll get the application with the phone purchase.
