According to our buddies at Fonehome.co.uk, the Palm Pre Plus, and Pixi plus have been passed by the GCF (Global Certification Forum), which apparently indicates that they will be heading to the UK soon. We all know the Palm Pre Plus has more RAM and storage than its predecessor, along with some improvements to the slider – but fewer changes were made to the Pixi Plus – notably just the one big ticket item of WiFi being added.
All of this though is in the face of Palms fairly dire situation with its stock right now, which obviously was derived from the fact that not so many Palm Pre devices got sold (leading to the rumoured massive backlogs of devices still to be shipped). So let’s hope that Palm shifts some volume when these devices hit – they could conceivably do just that if (and it’s the big if) the perfect storm of price, network, tariff, and incentives can be found. We wait with baited breath!
