It looks like Huawei is working on an Android smartphone for Vodafone and the “Joy” or “Vodafone 845” looks to be a solid mid-range device.
According to tips sent to The Unwired, the handset will have Android 2.1, support triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz. It will also have a 2.8-inch touchscreen at a QVGA resolution, and it is supposed to have a 3.2-megapixel camera. One little twist is that the home and back functions appear to be integrated into one button. No word on pricing or availability, but look for this to hit European markets in the second quarter.
