If the likes of Verizon and AT&T can have it, so can Cricket. I’m talking about their own branded navigation service/application. It’s called (guess) Cricket Navigator and it packs all the standard features of a modern navigation app such as turn-by-turn directions, and such things as:
- Gas Savings – search for all nearby gas stations and see their prices (along with distances and directions to each of the stations).
- Traffic – identifies potential traffic holdups on your route and suggests a detour in case of a traffic jam.
- Local Entertainment – find local bars, restaurants, show times and reviews of movies playing at local theaters.
- Local Search – you know what this does.
To download Cricket Navigator, hop over to the carrier’s Games and Apps catalog and take it from there. At the moment, only the Samsung MyShot II works with the service, but Cricket promised to bring it to additional devices by the end of this summer.
Finally the pricing – Cricket Navigator will be offered with the new nationwide $50 and $60 rate plans, and available as a bolt-on to the nationwide $30 and $40 rate plans.
