A company called ID8-Mobile is acquiring Newton Peripherals, including all intellectual property and patents, the MoGo product family, and active distributor, retail, mobile operator and OEM relationships.
You’ve probably already heard about MoGo products – after all, we talked about them on IntoMobile for few times in the past. If you haven’t, you should know they offer two flagship products (or that’s product lines):
- MoGo Talk – sexy ultra-thin Bluetooth headset that is also available in a protective case combo for the iPhone 3G/3GS.
- MoGo Mouse – ultra-thin (again) Bluetooth-enabled mouse that stores and chargers inside a laptop’s PC Card or ExpressCard/54 slot.
The good news is that ID8-Mobile said both product lines will go through an evolutionary product refresh and will launch globally early in the second quarter of 2010. As an owner of both products, I can’t wait to see how they plan to improve them.
And if you wonder, financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
