Wattpad, aka YouTube for ebooks and the service we’ve already covered for few times in the past, announced that it has updated its mobile application for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The main new thing is support for comments and voting. In other words, if a user wants to rate some text and/or to leave his or her two cents, there’s no need to visit Wattpad’s website, any more — now you can do that right from within the app.
The other new feature of the updated Wattpad is support for multimedia content such as YouTube videos, image slideshows and songs, which authors use (as Wattpad is saying) to create unique multimedia ebooks.
Finally, there are new content discovery features, optimal iPad display, new touchscreen controls, enhanced library management and improved offline capabilities. The last mentioned enables readers to save all chapters of a story to their iDevice to read offline…
