The FlightView BlackBerry travel app has been updated with Storm compatibility. It’s a pretty neat app that lets you look up flight maps for specific routes, and watch your progress of planes in the air, so you know just how close your friends are to landing. There’s native calendar integration so you can get all of your connections on time, and alerts for status changes. Speaking of delays, the app also has a delay map that shows how flights are being slowed down on a geographic basis.
Tracking flights live while they’re in the air is pretty cool, but personally, I prefer WorldMate Live – sure, you need a subscription to get all the features, but even the free version does more, and it’s a lot smoother-looking.
