If you’re a Canadian patiently waiting to get your hands on the Bell HTC Legend, your wait is over. As I mentioned to you before, the HTC Legend launched on Bell yesterday, and wouldn’t you know it, the device is readily available online and in-store right now.
That said, you may want to get your hands on one while the gettin’ is good. Reports from Virgin Mobile Canada have the Legend flying off the shelves. So much so, that they can’t keep the darn thing in stock. If you check Virgin Mobile Canada’s website, you’ll see what I mean. No Legend in stock. Although, now that I write this, I pop over to their site, and wouldn’t you know it, they’re featuring the Legend on their homepage. I trust they’re working fast and furious to keep the darn thing in stock, so if V-Mo is your carrier of choice, pop on over, enter your postal code, and check availability.
Getting back to Bell, the HTC Legend is available on their network for $79.95 on a 3-year contract. If that isn’t your style, you can go off-contract for $399.95. No surprises there.
The Bell HTC Legend features that awesome aluminum unibody construction (yes, I know, I keep mentioning it!), WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB, Android 2.1 with HTC Sense UI, 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom, LED flash and video… a media player (of course) 512 MB of internal memory, expandable to 32 GB via microSD, 3.2″ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (320×480), 3.5 mm headset jack, speakerphone… and the darn thing weighs in at 126 grams. It’s quite a solid feature set… and for anyone coming off (or currently using) an HTC Hero, the Legend is going to be a giant step in the right direction for you, guaranteed.
