Verizon Wireless is continuing with its app recommendations practice. This week’s they are focusing on summer trips. Here’s what they got:
- Kayak Flight and Hotel Search for Android devices and KAYAK for BlackBerry – for finding great deals on hotels, flights, rental properties and cruises.
- ZAGAT TO GO ’10 and Urbanspoon – restaurant guides for Android and BlackBerry users.
- TripAdvisor – popular travel advice for locations all over the world, including hotel reviews and rates, restaurant information and tools to share experiences with other travelers. Available for webOS devices.
- Skype – for keeping in touch with the rest of the family and/or friends.
- FlightStats for Android – provides flight statuses, departures, arrivals, airport delays, and other flight and airport information.
- VZ Navigator Global – maps and turn-by-turn directions for international destinations.
- Checklist – $1 webOS app that makes sure you don’t forget something for your trip.
- Geodelic for Android – for finding java joints, banks, restaurants and other area businesses.
- WeatherBug Elite – webOS app that brings you up to date on weather conditions.
